hi the answer is fungi (fun guy) and the fungi kingdom is a family of certain types ... I just worked it out has been driving me mad all weekend!

the answer is definitely fungi .... answer doesnt have a specific number of letters, you have to work the entire crossword out - which letter belongs to which numbered square and then work out which of the revealed words answer the clue unless you haven't worked it out already before you start...
