Help! Images Wiped From Sd During Importation In Lightroom

Hello can anyone help at all?

I was in the middle of importing images from an sd card in lightroom when the import suddenly stopped and when I went to try and re import the rest of the images half on the images had imported and the rest were gone!

Has this happened to anyone before? Does anyone know if/how I can get my images back ? Thanks in advance x

It sounds as if you're like me. i.e. you know that you should always back up you files, you know how to backup your files, you've been meaning to back up your files but, somehow or other, you've never quite got around to actually doing it! Oops!

Eject the SD card in the usual way. Turn your computer off, wait a few moments and restart it. Insert the SD card and take another look to see if the files are there. (It might simply have been the indexing system that was throwing a wobbly, with your image files safe and sound all along).

If they don't reappear, your best chance of getting them back is with the free version of Recuva:

I recommend recuva. Recovered wedding photos for friend from their sd card.
