I have a BT line, with a daul port for the same number on each, one is 'Line 1', and the other 'Line 2'. I have a DECT handset, is there a little gadget that I could get which would allow me to have have both ports plugged into the same phone?

Not as far as I am aware, but there are telephones on the market which accept two lines and you can switch between them on the same handset. If you want to be able to answer either line from the one handset then you could always get the two lines converted to Featurelines, a service which BT provide. This would enable you to pick up either line from the same handset, you would need a second handset plugged into the second line just so you knew when it was ringing.
