Birthday Fancy Dress Theme

I know this is asked alot and I have browsed through the other questions asked etc... Its my 23rd in a month and I want to throw a party, as I havent actually celebrated a birthday since about age 10 lol, so I want to make a thing of it. I need a theme though, I work with music but its a little predictable and I am having a total mental block on iconic female artists (ones that you can actually tell who they are when dressed up) aside from madonna - so please, suggestions on either another theme or a female artist.

My mate had a party with the theme as the capital letter of her name - she's Maggie - so everyone had to come as something that begins with M. Some people came as celebs and dressed up as Madonna for instance. Others came as animals such as a mouse etc. You could have objects, food, anything really as long as they start with the same letter. Have a good one !!

if you're from London/South East etc you could have a London Underground party. You send tube maps out with the invites and get people to dress as a station. There are some good'uns: Angel, Victoria etc, but the real fun comes when people turn up like: Barking, Shepherd's Bush, and so on...oh the fun!

Female artists - well how about Cher, Toyah, Bjork, Suzi Quatro, Chrissie Hynde, Dusty Springfield, Cindi Lauper, Siouxie Sioux, Debbie Harry, Yazz, Bananarama, Hazel O'Connor, the girls in Bucks Fizz, Tina Turner, Sandy Shaw?
