I recently upgraded my dads Windows Me computer to Windows XP Pro but most of the software that was installed on the computer to start with doesnt seem to be compatible anymore so he cant use the scanner, printer etc. Any ideas how I can rollback the operating system? Or make all of the programs work? Ive tried checking for new drivers with no luck.

You can't. You'll need to reinstall the original OS and all the applications.
However, for each application that isn't compatible, try setting the Windows compatibility version (right click on the program .exe and select properties) - here you'll be able to fake a version of windows for the particular application. It's no means foolproof, but it's worked many a time for me,
