Why is it that as often as not the AB will stop working after a very short time with: “The Answerrbank is not responding” and I am unable to type any more and have to recover the web page which results in me losing all that I have written and have to start again. It then happens again and again until I give up in frustration. The only way I can post such a long question such as this is to type it out somewhere else and then copy it and then paste to the AB , I’m sure it must happen to lots of other people as the questions received by the AB is very much less than previous. Does anyone else have this trouble? Please respond if your access is working, Vimto.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I gave up using the main website ages ago for the same reason, and exclusively use the "mobile" site now. the issue is the millions of adverts that appear on every page, many of which are badly written and contain long running scripts that seize your browser.
if you can, use firefox or opera, with a good adblocker. I don't have that option as i use a company resource with only IE.
