- it may not be infinite.

if it is, then it has no shape (unless it is of a continuous shape that appears to be infinite).

If it is infinite it must look like this...

but obviously a lot bigger ;-)

good one, kempie :-)
For every positive there must be a negative- where there is space there must be negative space- outside of the universe there must no universe.
The universe, as seen by current thought concerning the Big Bang's starting point (in time) for the universe, indicates one of three probable shapes. All of these have in common a 2 dimensional (flat) aspect. One would be a flat sheet of paper, having limited thickness. Another would be a "saddle" shaped affair, and the last, a funnel with a near infinite small end. The size, according to one source is 1.9 10^33 cubic light years in volume. Or, if you like, about 156 billion light years wide. The universe, although finite in size has no discrenible edge. The fact is, scientists don't know what the shape of the known universe actually is.
another theory, to add to clanad's 'thoughts', is that the universe is the shape of a torus (i.e. a doughnut).
I like the donut idea - ring or jam though?

Two doughnuts in a bar, one says to the other
"I bet I can guess your star sign", so the other replies
"Isn't it obvious I'm a Taurus?"

hahaha! maths jokes that only a quater of the population get are always good.

Q: what did darth vador say to the gluon?
A: hmmm, the force is strong with this one.
Sorry, but it has to be said...

There are only 10 types of people in the world.
Those who understand binary and those who don't.
It depends if the mass is evenly distributed , this will effect the shape of the universe as mass distorts space-time

ummmm, to observe the shape of something, u have to withdraw from it to look at it. how can u stand back from the universe?
