Premature Baby Gifts

I have been teaching myself some new crochet techniques...and, apart from now having a huge stash of leftover wool I've blanketed just about every baby I know!...and if I make yet another throw for the daughter she'll put herself up for adoption......☺

I'd like to use the wool to make blankets/clothing for Premature Baby Charities. I have googled and found some I can send to but thought I'd ask here first if anyone has connections with one of these charities that I can gift items to.

No connections but NGH take stuff.

When I was pregnant with my 3rd I had some awful problems and was told to expect a prem baby (about 30 weeks) so I bought stuff for a tiny baby. He was 3 weeks early and 7lb 4 so I donated everything I'd bought.

They also take donated breast milk (or did)

On a different tack , and with no disrespect for your own ideas, many animal rescue centres would appreciate blankets for their smaller animals,especially those undergoing post operative care.

Thanks, Brenda......I have donated all my cattery stuff and massage towels etc. to two local animal charities....never thought of crafted stuff....will give that a look too.....x

Gness, if you look at the pics of donated items for burials etc... just about all the tiny knitted cribs, with lace decorations, are made by me. It was a sad thing to do, but needed.
