Don't know if you watch it, on currently on Spike Sunday afternoons. Amy is the mother of Gordon who she ignored after giving birth so MW had to nurse him for months but they have now reintroduced them and all Amy cares about is food and she takes his away from him and eats it herself. She's an awful mum but she has the most fabulous face. If you're bored on a wet Sunday afternoon, watch it.
I have put "Monkey World" down on my list of things to do, next time I am down south.
I have a similar but much smaller place near me :::::

I agree patsy, they are so special. Fabulous faces. I remember Jim Cronin, the wonderful guy (now dead) who started Monkey World with his wife Alison, saying about Orangs that quietly they take note of you, study you, from all angles, before deciding whether to interact with you or not. Whereas Chimps are just nuts, hooligans in fact.
I did Hoppy, beautiful.
RATTER, agree Jim Cronin was such a tragic loss, in New York and diagnosed with cancer and dead within days I believe. He was such a lovely man and I much prefer watching the old programmes with him alive and well. But full marks to Alison and Jeremy who are carrying on the marvellous work.
