Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

A reminder:

1. Include a closing date of the quiz when you post a question. This helps certain members know whether they want to supply and answer yet.

2. Let people know if you need answers, hints, or explanations for whatever the answer is. This helps others know how much information to give to you.

3. Please supply the question number, for those who already have the quiz to better answer your question.

Additionally:

4. Don't be rude to:

a) Members who are asking for help. This is a Q&A site and as long as the question does not break AnswerBank site rules, it will stay.

b) Members supplying closing dates on questions which have already been asked, including links to buy the quiz, and otherwise promoting charity quizzes.

helmsman - in fairness to many members, we get a lot of emails asking how to say "thanks". I think people look for a button when they first arrive. Something we should sort out really.

Perhaps the stewards of this policy could have a meeting to discuss ways of gently reminding posters of the need for the inclusion of closing date, organisation etc rather than the somewhat abrupt manner currently employed by some of the more, dare I say, zealous watchers.
