hankir, 19a has a misprinted clue definition.
jim360 has correctly identified the letter for 160, it can be confirmed by the BRB, as part of the abbreviations under T, it also can mean Tesla, surface tension and tritium. Some years ago I went through the BRB and wrote down all the letters from A to Z and the Roman numerals they represented on a "post-it", other brands are available, and stuck it on the appropriate page of the BRB. A tedious task, but it has proved useful over the years.
elliemay1 it certainly is as you suggest, and you probably have to have a warped mind. Good fun once you get into the swing of solving them though.
I thought this offering from devadolly's nemesis, Mr O was hard but fair. I did hear devadolly's sigh of despair when she opened the puzzle section and spotted the compiler of EV 1224! Some of the misprints were carefully hidden. All in all a satisfying solve however!
Currently partaking of a rather large preprandial Famous Grose, dinner will be washed down with a South African Red plonk!

How right you are Doc, a large sigh, have done about 1/4 and the discussion about 160 was most useful. Won't finish it as off on the hols on Thursday and so far we only have only money & tickets, do feel a few clothes might be in order. Great despair as Ginger Mog is having to go into care as our current neighbour is not 100% reliable as he works long hours and the GM is now senior and gets stressed if on his own too long...... he is also VERY spoilt and pandered to. He will not be pleased!
Hello devadolly, have just got back from Naples, Florida where I have been visiting my "big" cousin for a couple of weeks. It would not be difficult to adapt to the Floridian lifestyle! No actual holiday plans yet, herself is retiring at the end of May, so then we can go where-ever we want. when-ever we want and for as long as we want! When that happened to another cousin and her partner they did a 4 month round the world cruise!
At his great age GM is most unlikely to relish spending a while in a cattery, unless of course he has his own suite, complete with en-suite facilites! I suspect you will be cold shouldered on your return!
