Steve Backshall Tonight !
17 Answers
Another barnstorming hour from Steve tonight ( ITC 1, 20:00 )
But I just wish he wouldn't give me heart failure every Tuesday ! This time he had a bloody great bird-eating spider crawling all over his hands !
At that point, I hid behind the curtains. For Gods sake Steve...play safely !
I warn anybody that wants to watch this program on the iplayer, that if they are even a trifle arachnophobic, then don't watch this alone !

Not Tarantulas but arachnids just the same. These were what I read about back in the 70s at Ongar station but it was a hoax by the Station Master.
Looks like they survive elsewhere in the UK though.

seems to me that whoever it is - whether Steve backshall, austin stevens, (late great) steve Irwin, or mark o'shea - all these action man wildlife presenters take delight in goading their subject while it patiently asks them to "GO AWAY", and then they act all surprised when the subject goes after them.....
Mushroom - there are many videos of cats going nuts at the vet on YouTube. Most of them have been 'encouraged' to attack. The cats warn the stupid human that they are not happy and want to be left alone - only to be prodded or something. Then they go mental and everyone starts laughing.
My little Princess Merlin is pretty stupid and has a short fuse. She lost the plot, with no prodding, last time we were at the vet. It was impressive and a bit scary. I didn't know that you could get a muzzle for a cat.

Thanks for cheering me up Mikey. Your last vet might have been a bit unprofessional but it must get tiring.
The problem with little hounds is that they seem to move much too fast and you can't get a good grip on them. I would like something the size of a German Shepherd.
Like us humans dogs and cats act differently when they are scared (ie at the vet). Frankie howls and purrs loudly but Princess Merlin attacks.
I have used the same vets practice since I was in my early teens and was sent by my mother to get Shaka, our cat, patched up after being in the was. That will be nearly 40 years.
Willy sounds feisty.
