I remember being the voice in the wilderness in a post ridiculing his appointment. Whilst i certainly did not predict what has happened (and what a glorious thing it is) i stood up for Ranieri and (imho) his impressive CV, but both campbellking and thesecondlaw more or less poured scorn on that CV. Glad to see campbellking putting his hand up and eating a slice of humble pie. Now where's the others:-)
I saw this coming all along of course, but kept silent for fear of being embarrassed. Now I can announce confidently that I was right all along about Leicester's glorious triumph being so easily predictable nine months ago. Possibly.
Actually I'm not entirely sure I was even aware Leicester were in the Premier League this season...

I'm sure you'd have a long line of those willing to take your bet, Hopkirk. At the beginning of each season, i have a bet on Burnley (whatever league they are in at the time - got 14/1 to win the Championship) and i am looking for some decent odds for top four finish, top ten finish, staying up, etc:-)

I had no question as to that he would succeed, he is a fantastic coach. However, I like many (including you ael) believed that Nigel was doing a great job at the time and couldn't see the point to it. Pearson is a fixer and will be a great coach for struggling teams so don't feel embarrassed because timing was just the issue in this case and it paid off.
