late 80s film called the harpy or harpie

in the late 80s,somewhere between 85 and 88 i saw a program on tv early in the morning and they were reviewing a new video release.all i remember is a huge winged beast in the middle of a forrest or a wood flapping his wings and screaching.the wings on the beast were all tattered and torn.have never seen this film or found anything about it.when i posted this before someone said the film maybe Q the winged serpent but that was made in 82 and when i checked it out it didnt ring any bells.....please
