Remember that minion of Sadam's who was being interviewed by a news reporter, and confirmed that their was no Allied troops anywhere near, and the backdrop was a large number Allied tanks rolling in!
Similarly, Jeremy will not admit that his party's local councillors are about to vaporised, and that the countdown to his own exit as leader - which started the day he was elected - is speeding up exponentially.

are labour expected to do badly at the polls because of the views and policies espoused by Mr Corbyn - or because the parliamentary party are almost universally opposed to those views and also, QED, the views of the root and branch party electorate that overwhelmingly put Mr corbyn in charge?

While it is a given that Labour will lose seats, it is not obvious where they will go.
The Conservatives are not exactly united themselves, and Osborne's budget quickly unravelled leaving a black hole in the country's finances. Will people who voted Labour in 2012, switch to the Tories, I doubt it?
The LibDems were annilated at the General Election and they seem to have an invisible leader. Will the people who voted Labour in 2012, switch to the LibDems? Again, I think not.
Which leaves UKIP. They tend to win by taking votes from the Conservatives, not Labour.
So perhaps Labour will lose a lot of votes, but those votes won't transfer to anyone else.
The results will be interesting.

According to this report they have already suspended 50 members for racism.
They soon won't have anyone left to stand for election.
Oh I bet they wish that they had never heard of that word they are always willing to label others with.

When it comes to local elections I tend to vote for the person, not the party. I live in a marginal ward, currently held by Labour. I expect Labour to hold on here as the sitting councillor is very hard-working whilst I wouldn't trust her Tory opponent an inch. So, for only the second time in 46 years of voting I shall vote Labour. You heard it here first!
What do you make of the results?
