Its terribly slow today...every time I press "submit" or change to a new topic, it is taking so long.

I have a very fast connection these days, and don't experience this problem with any other site I use, principally the BBC News website.

Mikey, I use Safari on my iPad, and Chrome on my desktop. I've just discovered Opera, which I think is ok. I hate my desktop, though, so not too sure about it. Might be worth a try, though.
You're welcome Mikey., but I'm sorry to say that it is slow with other browsers also.
Ed, am so pleased for you.

ED....if I am not experiencing any undue problems with any other site, except AB, why would local conditions be a factor ?
Try Mail Online, Mikey, you might find that slow as well as it is overloaded with adverts.
Ab Editor has said "Local variation is often the cause". I am not sure if he means that some folk are using good Browsers with appropriate add-ons and others are relying upon Internet Explorer, which regularly has compatibility problems, and Google Chrome which is very overbearing.

There are lots of Browsers, such as Opera, Safari, SeaMonkey etc. but the best must surely be Firefox; if Internet reports are to be trusted of having placed it as Number-one.

Hans....I have to use Firefox, as CHROMe will not let me view and use my BT Yahoo emails.

But is there a way of loading all my favourite websites over from CHROME, onto Firefox, in the same way that I "imported from IE " when I first started to use CHROME ?

Thanks Lie-in !

Actually, now that I have stirred up a hornets nest on this issue, AB on CHROME has now reverted to its normal fast self !

Lie-in King....it worked !

Thanks !
I am pleased that Lie-in King's response has been of assistance to you.

Does it mean that you are now using Firefox and have ditched that awful Chrome and have dispelled any idea of using Internet Explorer.? I hope so.

Hans...oh dear....now you are asking me to make a decision !

Can I try Firefox for a few days first please ?
Mikey - sorry, just seen this, glad you got it sorted :-)

Cheers mikey....I'll look forward to hearing how things progress.

Hans.
