I have got the answer to 4d but cannot justify it completely-

Getting flat close to Hamburg with prudish girl is a bloomer (7,8)

Evening primrose fits the 'bloomer' definition & prim rose is the
prudish girl.
I can see that G (close to Hamburg) but Getting flat is Evening (also a G)

I'm probably being very obtuse!
