About 6 months ago I bought a PC with standard 8Gb RAM, but I've been trying to run a driving game and the framerate is awful – probably less than 1fps. Just wondering how much extra RAM can be installed on a modern machine; could I get up to 32Gb, even 64Gb?

Having said that, I doubt if increasing the RAM will speed up your machine for playing games. You probably would be better of upgrading the video card (most games rely on the GPU to do all the calculations required for positioning and rendering the graphics)

...if you bought the machine "off the shelf" it probably uses a built-in Intel graphics adaptor using DDR3 memory (or possibly even sharing the motherboard RAM).
