What time are you off Retro?

I am ringing at 1100 to ascertain bed availability. I should be admitted for 1400hrs today. The usual nonsense is I ring at 1100. They say,"no beds at the moment we will ring back".
The first time they rang back at 1600hrs with no beds. Cancel
The second time rang back at 1600hrs with a bed but it disappeared by the time I got there. Put me up in a cardio ward over night and cancelled the op the next day when I was already prepped up for theatre :-(
I am expecting nothing yet.
