My philips dvd recorder has finally given up and i am now thinking of getting a liteon 5025 ghc 80gb hdd. i have read some good reviews about it and it seems to be good value for money. Does anyone have any further good or bad reviews about it ?

Seems to be quite good - keep reading the on-line reviews. It has a big advantage over my LG - it can record on CD as well (a good way to get LPs onto CD).

Is there not a 160GB version? Probably easy to upgrade the 80GB hard disk later (once it's out of guarantee), I know my LG can take a standard computer hard drive (hope to put a 250GB in later).
