Shock News For Teen Smow Today

He had another GCSE today and his best friend didn't turn up to school which is really odd. The boys sister came and found him after school to say he had collapsed with a splitting headache yesterday (he'd been complaining about headaches for a week or so) , was taken to hospital and after various scans they've found a brain tumour. He's already been transferred to a London hospital and had the brain surgery so it's all very early days but God poor kid - he's only 16. Teen smow just can't believe it. You really never know what's around the corner do you.

Oh dear! Oh dear! I really hope he'll be OK. Get your son to concentrate on his exams, smow, is the best advice I can give. It will occupy his mind and stop him brooding. I'm sure you'll provide all the support he needs. Best wishes to all. x

He's more worried at to what's going to happen to his friends exams actually. He clearly won't be able to sit them. Son is going to get train up to the hospital to visit him on Saturday x

Get the school to contact the exam boards and ask for a Special Consideration in view of the shock he has received from his best friend's illness. They may not grant it but it's worth a try, your lad will have been really shaken up and I've known people to be successful after their cat died.

There are always 'emergency' exam papers which can be sat when his friend is well enough. Least of the problems.

Bless him - son and friend made their way into London after school to visit friend in hospital . He was told that another two weeks and he would have died so everyone in shock. Face apparently incredibly swollen and eyes just slits(from surgery??) but he is awake and talking so good sign x
