One hopes not, since it is just another group of self interested folk who wants to avoid more effort on their part and puts that ahead of the nation's independence and self determination.
They quote EU funding (as many such groups do) without considering that the UK could as easily fund the same if it was a justified spend, and ease of cross border cooperation (as many such groups do) without feeling adequate to be capable of achieving such cross national agreements for themselves.
But one knows how in thrall to entertainment celebs a huge portion of the public are. If a celeb told folk to jump off a cliff a few of them would probably go to the edge and consider it.
Finding oneself in the position of being the entertainment industry's money maker is hardly an indication of being political genius, or even necessarily having sense.
