Sunday. On the canal at 9. Annual refresher on the boat. I need that like I need as bullet in the chest, but it has to be done.
Whilst in the Visitor Centre yesterday, I heard on the short wave radio that two tall ships were coming down the canal, leaving Gloucester Docks at one, so due at Saul about three. A beautiful sight they were too. The first one had an unpronounceable name and was flying the flag of The Military Order of Malta. (I had to look that one up as I'd never seen it before.)
The Earl of Pembroke followed and was flying the Red Ensign. There were plenty of people watching, despite the rain. Not many came in though. When they were out of sight the towpath was empty, not a soul in sight, because of the rain. so I closed early.at four.
Morning everyone just finished another week keeping the public fed!!! Nice and sunny here so off to bed and then my normal walk to the pub this afternoon hope you are all well and enjoying life
