What does the Skoda ad mean; the one where the supermarket manager (?) puts out a call for the Skoda driver when a customer gets his tie caught in the checkout conveyor belt ? Is it that any Skoda driver in the store must be able to deal with emergencies better than the manager ? That the manager's' boss owns the Skoda but the man doesn't know his name ? What?

"Is it that any Skoda driver in the store must be able to deal with emergencies better than the manager ?" Yes, I think that's the general idea. There was an earlier Skoda ad where the Skoda driver was consultes for advice on whether a woman should leave her partner. Supposedly driving a Skoda makes you so respected that strangers will ask you for advice on any topic. I'm not sure whether this is a selling point or not.
