Just Back From Manchester

went to see bruce springsteen,great concert but the weather was awful which spoiled it a bit for me,glad to be back home.

Saw him years ago in Melbourne ....best live concert I've ever seen, pity the E Street band isn't still 'complete'

Lucky you though, I think my concert days are over ...knees couldn't stand it !!

it took me an hour to get to my exam place past the MEN arena
I waited for half an hour for a prebooked taxi from NewCo Newton heath and at 17 30 they just said they couldnt carry me .... I squealed: "I have an exam in fifteen minutes." wondering why I had not been told it as a non starter when I booked earlier in the day, and the despatcher said " yeah I know all about that ....". I was only an hour late for the exam.

Such a shame about the rain.

I think what PP is alluding to was the traffic chaos around Manchester, especially the city centre and Etihad on the night of the concert.

There were a number of additional factors though to all of the concert related traffic, with problems on the tram lines with a car on the track on the line to the Etihad, a crash between a tram and bus in the city centre etc... It was traffic gridlock around the city centre/Etihad and surrounds apparently.

I'm guessing this was a knock on to PP's taxi not turning up and his being late for his exam.
