Cllr Zaffar has been handed what is effectively a new portfolio for Birmingham City Council - if I was at all cynical i'd say it was a "made-up" job so that leader Cllr Clancy could have someone who's his closest ally in his cabinet.

that said, whilst the portfolio includes the word "equalities", the role seems to be more about making the council and its activities more accessible, particularly digitally.....
