He has been seeing her behind my back, and I want him to stop it.

So we are to have a duel for her.

if i was to duel i would duel with nothing less than a shinken blade :-)

i think my son has three of those on a stand in his room, are they abit curved with a fancy handle bit?

your son probably has katana's they are both the same in shape i.e curved blade and a elaborate tang. However a shinken blade is a a full sharpness blade. I.e if you place it sharp side up and drop a sheet of sil on it it will slice through the silk. Unless your son is very rich he probably doesnt have these blades as one can cost in excess of 2000 pounds
