Hi, is anyone else watching this?

I'm really enjoying it so far.

It's a subtitled French thriller about a missing teenager on BBC Four if anyone is interested, four episodes in so far and available on catch up.

Are you saying the French can't speak french proper, Quoi?
Or that the BBC get their translators from the same agency that this chap works for.
I don't speak a word of French, Quoi, so i wouldn't have a scooby what they are actually saying. Though if what you say is true, then i can see it being a good reason for not watching. Tell you what though, whoever does the sub-titles writes a decent story:-)
Ha this is only mild ribbing remember but in my opinion the subtitles have 'sharpened' the dialogue up a bit. The french is a little duller.
Doesn't detract from the overall story though.
And Ken.....
'I don't speak a word of French, Quoi,'

fibber!
^^
Haha, Quoi. Reminds me of the time when i was in the Weinburg Bar in Bergen, West Germany and a girl asked me, "Sprechen Sie Duetsch?" To which i replied, "Nein." Then qualified that with, "eine kleine." Made her laugh and they say, if a man can make a woman laugh................

I tend to have to try and concentrate on one or the other else I start noticing discrepancies and it distracts me from what it going on.

It looked like it could be her but there are so many red herrings and such so far I wouldn't even like to guess if it is her or not!
excellent
thx eve - started watching it today
I know. When we are reading "who killed Lea?" They are actually saying " give me a bowl of cornflakes". Most distressing.
It appears to be a French version of the first series of The Killing.
Question Author
I started to read The Killing but couldn't get in to it, need to give it another go. Was quite disappointed as I'd heard such good things about it.

Will have to see when this is finished though if it's so similar it will spoil the book.

Neti, problem is, I watch a bit like a language student, as I used to be, and am interested in the language and how they phrase things etc... and that is more distracting for me :) I don't mean it's that different.

Another good two episodes! What a cliffhanger to end on too!
