Do I start to think of a decent meal out instead of shrugging my shoulders?? I can't remember where I posted it, but I suddenly had a calm feeling about Brexit. 'Bout an hour ago, well, we'll see.......whatever happens, happens :)
yes, I think independence for London would solve the problem. (Of course the rest of the country might find it difficult to cope, since a Londoner contributes a full 70% more to the national income than a non-Londoner. But hey, they'd have their sovereignty.)

Labour voters should appreciate how socialism works better than anyone. You pays yer taxes and the money goes "away", ie to whichever area is most deprived/deserving except, instead of being close to home, or just up the road, it means somewhere on the other side of Europe, still busily decompressing from life under the Soviets.
The fact that countries are regionally unequal, in the wealth stakes is lost on the EU which treats UK as a single, "uniformly prosperous" entity (or not, given injection of cash into impoverished areas, remote from London).
National governments must now compete for loyalty with the EU administration structure. Which is interesting. The referendum is the first outward manifestation of this (give or take Scottish independence vote).

I'm a Labour voter and am Remain in this referendum. Because of the business I work in, I don't meet many Labour or Remain voters. Almost everyone I've talked to about this recently have said I'm the only Remain voter they know, which worries me.
Still close now, but looking like Out, unfortunately.
