Hysterically self-contradictory statements (by CA), like this, say a lot.

"However, the Countryside Alliance said that historically gamekeepers routinely encouraged foxes to breed in specific areas so that their numbers could be more easily controlled."

If you want to "control" their numbers, destroy natural earths and don't go building extra places for them to breed!

When we want to hunt things to extinction (bears, wolves) we usually succeed.

I have been away and didn`t realise that this issue had been posted before. Having looked at the link though, there is not much to be gained IMO from previous posts because I can`t see why politics have been brought into this issue.
We should be the custodians for the animal world not their torture's.
