She was trying to barricade herself in their house and so they called an ambulance.

I don't understand how Gail isn't a wreck. She's been sleeping over a dead body, her annexe is collapsed, her daughter's having a breakdown, Nick's marriage is over already, David is the police's number one suspect and yet still she flutters her eyelashes.
