Vhs Tapes To Dvd - Any Gizmos Do This?

Hello folks,

I got some VHS tapes - junk stuff - but no player. Is there any gadget/gizmo out there that could turn the into DVDs? Panasonic used to do one but can't find it now. You know - pop VHS tape in and DVD disc and the machine just copies.

Or should I just sigh and trot out to the recycling centre?

Daewoo made a unit like the Panasonic - you can get them (used only) on Ebay..

Toshiba do a machine that will do it... again mostly second hand ones on ebay or amazon

Everhelpful me too. I have copied all my home videos on to DVDs great machine. Also families ones had busy time awhile.

Jessops used to do it ( not sure how much they charged ) but they have since closed down i think, not sure if there is any other high street shop that do, might be worth looking into before you fork out for a machine.

There are firms out there that will do it for a small fee.
You can buy a machine that will do it for you though.
We've got a Toshiba RD-XV47KB.
It has a hard drive, DVD player/recorder and VHS player/recorder.
You can record from the TV onto any of the 3 formats and you can also record from any one of the 3 formats, onto any of the other 2 .... so recording from VHS to DVD is simple (or vice versa if you so wish) :)
