Summer (Or Lack Of)

I think that so far, this is the worst summer I can ever remember. It`s grey, windy and spitting with rain - really grim. Someone at work said that it has to get better soon surely?

In summer 1976 I checked the newspapers every day, and every day it was hotter in London than it was in Jamaica. terrible shortage of water, though. Which is not going to happen this year. Wasn't last summer horribly similar ?

No. it was warm last summer here in the south-east. I remember commenting on my neighbours spending a lot of their time out in their garden sunbathing.
