How do I market a good idea?

I have thought of an invention which I know will help me and I wanted to know how to get the ball rolling. Is there a way of selling the idea or anyone to help me make a prototype? Thanks Andy

try the website www.patent.gov.uk. If your idea isn't covered by them - they will probably know who will cover it.
