Up until this morning I had a perfectly goog S3 phone on Virgin Mobile, during the night I was sent an email telling me that my Yahoo account had been hacked but I don't have a Yahoo acount so it was a scam I deleted it as soon as I could but I think it must have contained a virus as now my phone is totaly locked up,
I have now ordered a new phone but my question is can my photos and contacts
be retrieved by a phone shop as they are on the phone memory not the sd card
What antivirus do you use so we can avoid it - as far as getting your stuff back try diskdigger but scan anything you download carefully before you put it anywhere else.
I bailed out of the Android phone camp and ran off to the nanny-state of Apple a couple of years ago when this sort of thing was first talked about - sad to see it's actually happening.
You could try a hard reset - it would lose all your data, but might save the phone?
