There is somebody trying to kill a set of bagpipes outside in the street. I think that the bagpipes are fighting back as every so often the screaming stops - only for it to start all over again.

In the right situation and at the right time bagpipes can sound almost musical.

The noise may drive me insane !

I remember singing you're my world at guide camp after lights out. I thought I sounded like Cilla as a belted out "it's the end of my world". I was cut short by the one in charge shouted "it will be the end of your bloody world in minute if you don't shut up."

I could never bear Cilla screeching her way through that one, grasscarp, so your version was probably an improvement.

Apart from the normal human noises and my girl cat, Merlin, grunting and snoring it is all peaceful.

The birds wil be up in a few hours, they drive Frankie nuts. They walk over the skylights and he so wants to introduce himself to them.
