Nothing in that article suggests that the EU is looking at itself. Germany seem to be asking them to do that.

Also the determination that it's not going to be a trade agreement but going to force a load of carp with it about being one nation with simply different regions governed by an unelected elite. Totally unacceptable to a group of diverse cultures/ways to look at things but the lack of democracy in the present day was gall beyond belief.

Best outcome is it all falls apart and a sensible trade area with sensible trade rules replaces it.
