Fitting A Dishwasher

Sorry if this sounds a bit naive but the last one I fitted was no prob. I am waiting for Bosch to come back to me.

When attaching the black inlet pipe to the machine there is a little red filter, then a little black washer both of which are loose fitted. Last in the line is what looks like a black plastic plug which does not appear to want to come out without a bit of force. Should this come out?
