Has anyone else had a Rover that when you come to stop and take the car out of gear the revs just go crazy? Any solutions (except torching it) please!

its prob the throttle cable the bit that the cable goes round are prone to stayin open too much try and spray wd40 at the spring a nd work it loose (wen car is off) if that doesnt help u may need a new part
