What happens when you turn your laptop on (or try to)? Absolutely nothing? The sound of the fan running but nothing else? Some sort of message on the screen? Windows apparently booting normally but problems thereafter?

I have purchased and used a number of these ‘repair discs’ for PCs with success.
You need a bit of PC nous to use them, incorrect use could wipe your entire C drive.
The discs have a number of utility programs which do not operate under Windows (normally they operate under DOS). To access the programs you need to configure your laptop BIOS to boot from the CD/DVD drive (and not the hard drive). With the disc in the drive – switch on the laptop and the screen should give options to run the various programs.
If you do choose to erase the C drive, ensure that you have your system drivers and operating system available to load.
