Extracts were read in the news on ITV last night. Words to the effect, " We have to make this special George, something very special". I read that as in order to con the electorate and Parliament!! Dr Kelley knew the truth and in true meglomaniac dictatorship style he was found dead!!! He became an inconvenience to Blair's jackanory.
Retro, I was just pointing out that Zimmerman was "conspiring" with Mexico to urge them to side with the Germans in one case, and in the other, Churchill was "conspiring" with the Americans prior to Pearl Harbour. My point is that skullduggery, intrigue, and machinations between politicians cannot just be attributed to Blair and Bush.
Is Iraq a better place now that tweedle dee and dumber toppled their leader?
Ask them now. From what I saw and heard on the news last night the Iraquis hate the Brits now with a vengeance. I thought the reporter was incredibly brave to interview them.
Still have hundreds killed a week by Daesh bombs!! Never had that in Baghdad when Saddam ruled his roost. Assad trying to rule his country but stability damaged as a result if meddling by the U.S. and UK.
Ask the Falkland Islanders if they were happy for a conservative government to assemble a hasty invasion force, without collusion and conspiracy to liberate the people who expect the protection of HMQs government and got it without any 7 year enquiry. Exit strategy. Not required! A garrison remains to protect them. Big difference was the war against the Argentinians was a just war not based on megalomania and deceit.
Seems like at least two regulars are sorry we won that one as well even if it cost 255 lives of British servicemen/women. I haven't heard of 255 parents, brothers, sisters screaming for an enquiry and claiming Mrs Thatcher was wrong.
