The general consensus among male and female soldiers, both serving and retired is that females should not serve in infantry units as they do not have the physical attributes to carry out the tasks of an infantry soldier on a regular and daily basis in line with their male colleagues.
Make all-female infantry units by all means, but I doubt you'd have enough to make even Company strength and certainly not enough for a Battalion.

able to match the physical abilities of their male colleagues whether in the army or in a DIY store. A few year ago I had to return a self-assembly garden bench to Argos as a bit was missing. All the pieces were put back in the box and my sister and I struggled with the weight and the awkwardness of it but a woman who looked about 4' 10" in height and breadth come from behind the counter, spread her arms, scooped up the whole lot and walked away with it.
