what exactly is a web cam. If I have one and a friend has one, how do we actually use them. is it easy to talk to him with them

a webcam is a camera that allows you to trransmit moving images down your internet line to other PC's. I would not recommend using them if you do not have broadband as the images are too jerky. You can use webcams with msn messenger, yahoo messenger, etc. you do not both have to have a cam to see the other. If you want to spek, some do have microphones but you might have to buy one if not.
