Wasn't sure where to put this, but here seems as good as anywhere.

Our local Holiday Inn (Leicester) has this week released loads of balloons in celebration of their 35th Birthday. Attached to the balloons are vouchers for prizes - anything from a cup of coffee to a night's stay. However, the top prize is a chauffeur driven car to the hotel, dinner, bed and breakfast in the honeymoon suite, and car home afterwards.

The first voucher has been returned (for a cup of coffee). It was found by a prison officer in the IoW. So - anyone south of Leicester, it would seem, is in with a chance.

Just thought some of you might like to keep a look out.

I bet the organisers are hoping the 1st prize doesnt float too far away......

I remember reading about a guy in the navy or something who while home on leave went to a fete with his family..where they had a similar thing...Pay a 1 and get a balloon to release with your name etc on the tag..His little brother just wants the balloon so the tag is pocketed and forgot about

A few weeks later and the guy is back overseas thousands of miles away...finds the tag in his bag....fills it in and sends it back......and his brother got a brand new bike

Ooh, my boyfriends mum lives on IoW, shall tell her to keep an eye out :). Bet the hotel would be chuffed to bits if the top prize made it to France, or beyond.
