I have solved the puzzle with the quote identified.

Not sure of Parsing of two answers:

The word for organic compound fits but I cannot parse it.

I am not good at the type of literature where the quote comes from, so thinking of assumed response is tough.
I see the person named in the quote appearing in the grid.

Teensy help on how to find the 8 letters will be appreciated.

23 D. Chambers gives one meaning of Trine as 'to go' (then add the E for energy).

If you've seen the person in the quote, you have half of the eight letters - the rest are nearby, where they should be!

PS I had the same reasoning for 3 D as you have.

I should learn to check Chambers no matter how far fetched it seems.
It seemed impossible that trine could mean go.

I have looked at all the 4 letters surrounding the person. In all directions.
No four letter word appears unless one of my answers is wrong.
Unless it is three words, second contracted and the last one just one letter.

The person has followed the request and is IN the relevant place, in the middle of it to be exact! If that's not a help, post again.

I was looking for 4 letters at the beginning or end of the name.
The person seems to be IN a Biblical location.
