Noami, The point of last week was to get two names, from 5 candidates onto the ballot paper for Conservative members to decide on. How this has panned out, has denied the members their votes, and is against how the leadership contest rules were supposed to work. It guarantees a Remainer becomes the next Prime Minister, and lots of members will be very annoyed by...

All seems highly dodgy. As if it were agreed not to give members a 'leave' candidate for members to choose. But I'm sure politics aren't that underhanded. Just being suspicious. Meanwhile May is going to need watching carefully. As a 'remainer' she has no desire to change the UK EU relationship much and so much more likely to throw away our chance to reclaim our sovereignty as the cost of getting minor benefit from the single market.

jambutty, with regard to Sharia Law don't believe everything you read. The spinners have been at it. Teresa May is setting up a review.

Jammy....both candidates want to bring back hunting, so its not made much difference..... They are both Tories after all.

Jammy.....Hunting with dogs was banned under a Labour Government
( no surprise there I suppose ) But I seem to recall a free vote was allowed and even some of the few Tory MP's in Parliament at the time voted for the new law.

But we can't rely on that for the future. The only safe way forward is to elect a Labour administration.

I have just found this on the 'net, a quote from Prince Charles ::

"if hunting was banned, he might as well leave the country and spend the rest of his life skiing"

^^^^She'd better not be! Every move and word will be watched! The constituency parties are almost solidly total Brexit, so she would be somewhat unwise to take her eye off them.
