Memory Card for Pocket PC

I am looking to buy a 256 Memory Stick for my Pocket PC - I would use it to transfer music from my laptop that I recorded on it from my CDs. Can anyone advise me on how many songs that would work out to?

If you record at the standard WMA file conversion rate in Windows Media Player, it equates to roughly 90MB per CD according to Media Player itself. You'd definitely be able to get at least 2 CDs worth in there at a time, if not 3.

Memory Stick? Pocket PC? Are you sure? - I wasn't aware there were any pocket pcs that used the Memory Stick format. Anyhoo, why limit yourself to 256Mb? Flash memory is cheap these days, and something around a Gb should set you back much more than �100 whilst being much more practical with a longer lifespan.

If you set the conversion rate in Windows Media to CD Quality (can't remember the rate) its actually only around 29Mb per CD. I can confirm that as I'm currently converting my CD collection to WMA format. Depends also on the CD as some are shorter than others, so about 8 or so on a 256 Memory Stick.
