Mentally his natural persona is a bumbling type of fellow, finds it difficult to come up with exactly the right thing on the spur of the moment; but like the quintessential absent minded professor I think the deep thought/planning is valid. So I think those he gets to know on the international circuit will quickly cotton on to this, know his strengths and weaknesses and gain respect for what he achieves. It's just those with an agenda to poke fun that will continue to try to do so. And of course opting to act in a more serious manner won't hurt any either.
