But this has only happened with AB, and not with any other internet site.
Is there a techie on, that can explain why a power failure in a part of the network, Telehouse North, in London, in this case, can effect some websites and not others ?
And why it happened to JennyJoan and I, and not others ?

If you imagine the internet network as being like the London Tube network.
And at each tube station someone puts up a poster. If one of the stations closes, then you will not see a poster there, but you will see those at all the other stations. The same thing happens on telecom exchanges on the internet. If that link goes down then the site cannot be accessed.
This exchange in London must handle the Answerbankbut not other sites you use.

Didn't you use to work for BT mikey?
Mikey was part of the lobby within the "Old BT" that insisted that all messages were telegrams and must be hand delivered with special rates, for out of normal working practice, distances, or hours, paid at treble time with 4 days recovery days off on full pay, and that the internet was a wicked Tory plot to make everyone destitute. Haha (^_*)
