Hi! I asked Answerbank for this a couple of days ago and got the word pixilation, which fits for me.

Check the a which you have as second letter; I have an i there from the word acciaccatura.

The reason I put a question mark after 'manimation' in my earlier response was to indicate that it was just a guess and that I had not seen the crossword concerned. However - having 'coined' the word - I think it deserves to live! (Yes, I know there are references to the word in a Google search, but I didn't do such a search until after I'd posted my response.)

It certainly looks, Oldham, as if Mohill's answer is the one being sought. Sorry I misled you.
